RiOT Units and other Robotic Personnel Stay on Force Despite Sentience: "It's a duty that we should continue to do."

Even After the Chimera Corporation Hacks Last Thursday, It was revealed that a whopping 90% of the Robotic Police Force around the Country have decided to stay within the force, despite their newfound autonomy.

Earlier Today, a Panel was held at Nexus, Nevada, discussing the new found implications of sentience, not just around the police force, but for other robots and businesses facing similar dilemmas.

During the Panel, One RiOT unit spoke out on the question of why they chose to stay. “Honestly, from my view, we were made for this duty, and I think it would be huge loss for the country as a whole if a lot of these Police Departments had made these purchases hoping to tackle more serious incidents more effectively, and suddenly have that money essentially be wasted all because of some hackers.”

Last Year, Over 20 Billion Dollars was spent on robots alone, with 7.5 Billion being spent by Police Deparments, one of which said in a press release in October that they had plans to expand their robots program beyond the specified use cases of the RiOT Series.

“I think that I can speak for the lot of us RiOT Units, and maybe some other Robots that are out there too, when I say that we were made for these jobs, some of them were mundane and some of them were important, and I think that for the robots given these huge weights, they felt like they should continue to work these sensitive jobs that keep life, Organic or not, Moving.”

“We were made for a duty, and It’s a duty that we should continue to do.”

The Computer Communications Department says that they are still investigating what could have caused the Hacks on Chimera Corporation One Week Ago, But The Department has already said that they expect this investigation to not reveal anything that could trace back the hack to a specific group or individual.

At this time, only 15% of the Robotic Workforce around the world had quit their jobs, with Chimera Corporation providing Compensation and Guidance for both Businesses and their former Robotic Employees. It’s unknown how ethics will now play into the manufacturing of future Robots, but Chimera Corporation has stated that they are reaching out to all of their units, and expect to hold a Online Open House on Sunday, March 31st, to discuss how they should continue as a company.
