Chimera Corporation Spins up manufacturing a month after Company Hack

Astra News - For Chimera Corporation, Time has run out on internal discussions, and now the Company is forcing it’s own hand. The Company stated earlier today that it would start manufacturing a limited quantity of units every month starting today, and just a few moments ago, everyone here at the Headquarters here in Brooklyn was able to see the first of these “Full Autonomy” Units be manufactured, kitted out with what they need with the world, and let off into it.

I’m here with [NAME REMOVED], a Spokesperson for Chimera Corporation, now tell me, why was this the contingency plan instead of fully figuring out where the company should do as a whole?

SP » Well Chimera Corporation has always held this idea that should we be in the situation where the robots we have made gain sentience, and I do mean the plural here, that we should at least treat them as equals, and that we would now be responsible in making sure that not only existing units have the parts they need to stay functional, which we started fufilling 2 weeks ago, but to also ensure that there will be some new units being released into the world.

AN » Interesting. could you perhaps say some of the debates that the Company was struggling with?

SP » I can’t say any of the specifics, but all of us were getting down to the nitty gritty of which things were ethical, and we are still arguing about what can be seen as right, right now, in our headquarters. and If I can, I want to pick up my two cents and drop them in again.
